so i've decided to manifest this out there and stop talking about it and just do it. "shit or get off the pot," if you will. or as al likes to say, hmm, i forgot what al said last night, but it was something along those same lines except that it had to do with fish and not fecal matter. anyway, in one year's time i will be living either here:

i love both cities equally - so it'll just depend on where i find a job. and yes, i've heard about the winters and yes, i've heard they're difficult. but "lemme-tell-ya-somethin" [john vigil] - i'm programed the other way - i love gloomy weather. with that said, it's time to get all my ducks in a row. so long 100* summers and hello new adventure!

as a follow-up to this blog, i just couldn't stay away from the barbacoa this weekend and decided it needed one more chance. and would'nt'chya know it?! no problem this time. none at all! so, i will once again be regularly patronizing that favorite hot-spot without any worries [fingers-crossed].

and in case you were wondering [which you probably weren't] i had the burrito salad, no tortilla, and a diet cola.

...grateful that my neighbors have an unsecured network. i did some online tube watchin' last night. specifically, project runway. now don't go judgin' me on my moral code or anything - i was just borrowing their network, not stealing ;)

discussion time! i looooved kelli's creation. simply a-maz-ing! her useage of the bleach and the dye to alter the condition of vaccuum bags really impressed me. and also, note the detail with the gold thumbtacks and how she closed the dress - with a spiral notebook. genius! i do believe it was a well deserved accolade.

also worth mentioning, the crochet mop-top... impressive!

cleanin' up

went to the company summer pic-nic bbq yesterday [sidenote: the planning committe called the event a "luow" but we ate fajitas and there was a pinata - figure that one out] and came home with a $25 gift card to barnes & noble and a $50 mastercard gift card.

so i got to leave work 2 hours early and walked away with $75. not too shabby for a tuesday afternoon.

se la vie!

i hear some interesting stuff around the office - i guess that's one of the only beneifits of the placement of my cubicle. anyway, i just heard our payroll lady [who i think has been at this place for over 30 years] exclaim, "i found it! i found the last one! i knew it!" - now you may be wondering what she found, and i'll tell you. she found the last tootsie roll in the fish-bowl of candy. the very last one.

now i may be overly cynical [corporate america will do that] and perhaps with a bit more caffeine and i, too, could be as easily excited. i highly doubt that though. i just finished cup number three.

anyway, like i said, se la vie.
