remaining optimistic is key

i had a "non-manadatory/mandatory-when-you-work-for-dan-hayes" staff meeting at 7:00 this morning. due to the trax schedule, this required me to leave my apartment at 6:30 [it was still quite dark out, by the way]. which meant getting up by 6:00 [i showered last night]. with the need to snooze a few times, i set the alarm for 5:30. luckily, i have a timer on my coffee pot so i set it last night and awoke to fresh java [for the record, this is the first time i have ever referred to coffee as "java" ... and i'm thinkin its the last]. anyway, today was one of those instances where it is damn near impossible to get out of bed. it was all warm and cozy and i knew it wouldn't be so warm and cozy anywhere else. but whatever, the point of this blog is this -----> in remaining optimistic, i thought to myself, "well, it could always be worse. i could be hung-over." actually, i think my exact thought was "at least i'm not hung-over." either way, sometimes it taks a silver lining to make the morning bearable. and a strong cuppa-joe*.

*first and last usage as well
