they say hind-sight is 20/20 and i guess i gotta agree. although these mystical "they" say a lot of things that i often ignore. anyway - lets continue...

today i'm wearing these awesome tights that i bought when i was in rome, and if i could do it over again [hence the hind-sight schpill] i'd buy like 10 pair. honestly, the best tights ever. according to the color code, these tights are color 336633 [here] and are seriously opaque. you'd be surprised at how hard it is to find quality leg wear that is seriously opaque. and i think they were only 5 euros - so $7.50ish. that's half what the american apparel wants for their on-par hosiery*.

so if any of my five readers are traveling to europe anytime soon, pick me up some tights and also that bike helmet [here] you'll be handsomely rewarded with a giant smile from me! and maybe some cupcakes.

this is a shout-out to trav [yo trav! what's up trav!] and a request that he quit ignoring his blog. i never check it because he never updates it - but seriously, the two posts that are on it, are seriously funny. i'd say he got his sense of humor from me, but that would be impossible - he's older. however, it seemingly took him a bit longer in life to be so funny, so maybe he really did get it from me... hmm, something to think about... either way, trav, post more!

this is really funny

i hope this isn't one of those "you had to be there" stories because it was really funny. anyway, last night i went and saw a movie with a dude and afterward i had to use the restroom. it was a late movie at the independent movie house so the restroom wasn't busy at all. so a girl walks in right before me and goes into a stall. somehow i managed to choose the stall next to her. and we both just sat there. in silence. both with stage fright. so she gives a little giggle and i think "should i laugh too? we're both struggling... why did i pick the stall next to her in an empty bathroom?" so i give a giggle. then we both just start laughing. and she says "ok i'll start it" and abracadabra - stage fright cured.

yeah - i just read through this and it's not nearly as funny as it was last night. oh well. a blog post is a blog post.

here's a follow-up to this. this sh*t happened twice this morning. TWICE! i go in to refill and lo-and-behold, the pot is empty. needless to say, this didn't make me very happy. so, being the considerate coffee drinking co-worker that i am, i made another pot. the first time. then, i went back for round three, and what do i see? an empty pot. so you know what i did? i decided to fore-go the third cup and brew these lovelies another pot. but instead of only putting in five scoops of coffee, i put in eight. that's some seriously strong [not to mention seriously gross] coffee. chomp on that [which they probably will, seeing as how it will be super think] you inconsiderate-coffee-drinking-non-making jerk[s].

ugh. now i'm going downstairs to the CVB where they understand the unwritten coffee-drinker etiquette and actually brew decent coffee.

oh, snowbird, how i've missed you...

i went snowboarding today and wondered why i took so much time off... this is definitely my sport. and it totally counts as cross-training for that halfy in january.

although the snow left a lot to be desired [seriously, 23" base? let's just say its a good thing i hadn't tuned the board], the company could not have been better! and top that off with barbacoa! wowza - awesome day to say the least. [inquire within for details.]

i'm so psyched on this up-coming season! and i cannot wait for the developments ahead... again, inquire within for details.




that's the bunny hill, chickadee, behind me. i learned to ski on that hill when i was a wee lass so that lift always makes me feel nostalgic. it wasn't open today, but i never turn down an opportunity for a photo-op.

by the time i write this the pot will be brewed...

if someone can send an inter-office email about tin foil and plastic wrap [here], then i should be able to send the following rant:

dear co-workers,

it has been broughten* to my attention that one of you took the last cup of coffee and failed to brew another pot. now i fully understand the effort it takes, having done it several times myself, to make a new pot. you gotta measure out five even tablespoons full, put it into the filter, press the button, and like magic here comes the liquid power! so work** with us here! its not even 9:00 - obviously people are going to be wanting more coffee. in the office, there are those of us who drink the coffee and those of us who make+drink the coffee. what side of that fence do you really want to be on? have some common courtesy and brew another pot.

it has been snowing non-stop since i left the a.p.t. this morning. it feels odd - perhaps because i wasn't expecting it. and also, since it's snowing so much downtown.

i'm really gald i don't have to shovel.

i promise this was not staged...

... after work the other night, i droped my stuff on the table and went straight to the bathroom... when i came out, this is what i saw...


now you all know where i stand... as if there were any question.

ya know, i just gotta say, without access to such web-sites as facebook, myspace [i hack a friend's account and lurk via "blue lady" - myspace was soooooo 2004], youtube, match.com [aka hook-me-up-dot-com], and the like - i'm not sure i could make it through the day. what, with me being highly efficient in everything work [and non-work] related [read: slow times in the sales & marketing department] and finishing most stuff as it comes in, the days would draaaaaaaaaag. even more so than today has. perhaps i should go back to those one-point-five hour lunches... yeah... i think i'll do that tomorrow.

so to those going "w-t-f is this about?!" ... travis inspired this post. whoever he works for has blocked access to such time-wasters as mentioned above. sorry trav. you're missin out! rest assured that your mis-fortune is my privilege. and oh, how good it feels, to be so privileged!
